When we start learning Salsa, our lives tend to get off balance a bit – a tad off-kilter… a little “off” – TO SAY THE LEAST.Finding the balance between life and Salsa can get scewed QUITE A BIT to feel somewhat “off-center”.If you are a believer, don’t forget Who is “allowing you” to be healthy and love this process.
Don’t forget “The Power” from above that gave you the “Desire in your Heart (Psalms)” for this incredible dance.
You obviously need it.
God created dance.
God created music
God created our bodies
God created Salsa
God created love, and joy, and bliss… so it’s OBVIOUS we can CELEBRATE our love for Him by dancing!!!
However, anything done to excess is not recommended.
If you’re a triple Type A personality, a bit on the “goal-achiever” side, things can get a bit out-of-hand, but HEY… WE ARE HUMAN and somehow make things work out for the better… ALWAYS!!
Here is a little something to keep you “centered” and balanced during those times when you logically know that you “probably should stay home and get some rest tonight”.
A healing may need to take place.
An “alertness” at your job may be necessary in the morning. You just never know.
So when you feel like your friends and YOU are saying, “GO GO GO!!!”, but deep inside there is a still small voice telling you need some “centering”, read this:
The Center of the Bible
This is pretty strange or odd how it worked out this way.
Even if you are not religious you should read this.
What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Which chapter is in the center of the Bible?
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalms 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalms 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188.
What is the center verse in the Bible?
Does this verse say something significant about God’s perfect will for our lives?
The next time a dancer friend of yours says they would like to find God’s perfect will for their lives and that they want to be in the center of His will, just send them to the center of His Word!
Psalms 118:8 (NKJV) — “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
Now isn’t that odd how this worked out (or was God in the center of it)?
Next time you’re getting ready to go out for the evening, check to see if you’re tired, or not 100%. Why are you REALLY going? Do you think you’ll feel better after you get to the club? Is because of that special someone or something you need? Is it a fix you need satisfying for a while?
Where there is doubt, go back to the Center, and ask the question of your Father.
If deep inside, you feel you shouldn’t go, then there is a reason.
If deep inside, you REALLY WANT TO GO DANCING, then go and HAVE A BLAST!!! There must be some sort of healing or therapy that He will provide to you on that dance floor!!!
I’ve shared my Faith, and have have brought half a dozen people to the Lord in the Salsa Club restrooms of the world! Those people were hurting for some reason, and God positioned me in the perfect spot and time to be “there” for them, right there in the bathroom of the nightclub. The Lord operates in VERY MYSTERIOUS WAYS.
Remember, God will grant you the desires of your heart. And if it’s going out dancing… THEN DO IT!!!! Celebrate the LIFE that God has GIVEN TO YOU!! Thank Him for his incredible Gift!!!
BE HIS “BALANCED” WARRIOR!!!
– Happy Dancing!
